a Mi Manera

My Story

Since I can remember, I’ve been proud to be Salvadoreño and to celebrate every single aspect of my culture. Like many of you, I grew up with a mom who loved to cook—not just to feed her family, but in her own way, using the ingredients she had and making it uniquely hers.

I’ve always loved eating, especially my mom’s food, but my passion for cooking was never part of the plan—it was an accident. What started as a necessity, just learning to feed myself, quickly turned into something much bigger: a love for the kitchen and a way to honor my roots, my culture, and my mamita.

Now, I cook not just to create delicious meals, but to keep our traditions alive, share our stories, and inspire others to find their own connection to food and culture. My journey is a reflection of the pride I have in where I come from—and I’m excited to share it with you, a mi manera.
